2 months
Hello!
So little man was 2 months last Friday! We went for his 2 month check up on Monday, and he is 12 pounds!! That is double what he was when we brough him home! And he is 1.5 inches longer!! He is growing so fast! He had to get 5 shots, and one oral vaccine. Poor little guy....He has had a fever since and is just generally not feeling well but hes getting better. Since he was born he has preferred his head to be cocked to the left and it looks completely uncomfortable when he is in his car seat, on his back or in his swing....the pedi noticed this and we are having to do stretches with his neck and if he isnt keeping it in the center by 3 months then we will start physical therapy... hopefully the stretches will help. Also, he has acid reflux and the pedi thinks this is why he wont sleep on his back and why he coughs. So we are having to give him 1/4 tsp of mylanta with his night time bottle. I am going to try back sleeping sometime this week but she said if he wont tolerate it yet that I should wait til he is 3 months to break him of the swing sleeping and then I can let him cry it out. So we will see...
He is trying soo hard to roll from back to tummy but hasnt gotten it yet. Its so funny to watch him try. His little legs get going so fast. He talks more and more every day. I love it.

time
Where does time go??? =( I can not beleive that I will be taking Eric's 2 month photos on Friday!! This makes me sooooo sad! He has been such a huge joy in my life and I am so thankful for my little family. I honestly dont know where the last 2 months have gone but I am blessed to have been able to spend every day watching him grow. He changes so much every day. He smiles, talks (coos and cahs and ee ooooss) LOL he has such a personality and I love it! He is sooo big! Already in 3 month clothes. I packed all his little newborn stuff up in a bin and it made me so sad not to see them all hanging in his closet. They are replaced with bigger little man clothes and its so strange.
Santa called the other day to let me and daddy know that Erics christmas list is almost sucessfully completed. So that is good news! Michael, Eric and I decorated our tree this past Saturday and it is fabulous! I love this time of year and am so excited to start traditions with Eric. I want him to have a real sense of family and love and joy for this time of year and all that it stands for. So what better time to start? AND.... Momma already has her christmas cards DONE! All I have to do is mail em! Booo yaaahh!
As I told you in my last quick post, he has been sleeping through the night for the past week. It is great. However, he is still only sleeping in his swing. So my next battle will be breaking that habbit and making him sleep on his back. Since he came home from the hospital he has refused to do this so I am not lookng forward to it...but the longer I wait, the harder it will be...So I am thinking that tomorrow night will be the start of this fiasco. Wish me luck.
We go to the doctor Monday for his 2 month check up and shots. =( Soo sad. But I am excited to see how much he weighs and just to hear that my little man is still beautifully healthy.
Note- Eric was constipated for 5 days and the pedi told me to give him 1oz of gerbers baby prune juice or apple or pear juice 1x per day until he goes.....I got the prune with apple juice and ummmmmmmm miracle juice... He drank the juice and in 1 hour had a huuuugeeee poop. So any of you out there with a little one that is having trouble with #2....try it!
We had another play date with Stephanie, Lyla, Lauren and Rilynn last week! Here are some pics of the adorable 3 little amigos!

Real Quick
Hi! I know I havent updated in a couple of weeks. We are doing well ! Eric's little tummy has finally adjusted to formula. He is up to eating 6 oz per feeding now (little chunker), but I still have breast milk in the freezer so he is getting 2 oz breast milk and 4 oz formula....I am still so glad to be done with pumping! I dried up beautifully..just a little tiny but of sore boobies for like a day then I was golden.....well golden except the fact that I have NO boobs. Before I was pregnant I was a small C. While breast feeding I was a DD, Now....yours truley is a friggin A CUP! Are you kidding me?!?!??! This is noooottttt cool..I feel like a little boy! ugh! I thought babies were supposed to give you more boobs not less!
Ok..enough about ta tas! I go for my doctors appt a week from tomorrow, I am hoping that my stitches have disolved so that they dont have to remove them. Eric will go for his 2 month appt on December 5th. I am not looking forward to him having to get shots =(
We are stuck in the house all day today because momma and daddy purchased us some new furniture yesterday! Thats right! No more old, nasty, torn up couches! woooo hoo!!! We also got a bad A$$ new tv. A 50 inch flat screen, which is a huge step up from our humongous box tv. I am excited except the time window that rooms to go gave us..???? 7am-9pm...yes that is a 14 hour window....nice. I am hopeful that they will just come and get it over with so I dont have to deal with them while I am trying to get Eric to bed tonight...that would suck butt.
In other news, Eric has started smiling and it is the most precious thing I have ever seen in my entire life! I swear that every time I see his little toothless, gummy smile I melt. His gabby (my MIL) was able to catch this one last night....

He does not laugh yet....unless he is asleep...sometimes right after he falls asleep you will hear him laugh...too cute! I cant wait to hear him do that all the time!
He has started to stay awake soooo much! He has only been napping for a total of 1-3 hours during the day combined...and nights have been anywhere from 4-6 hours between feedings. Hes been a good little booger!

*I can NOT beleive its almost Thanksgiving! Holy cow...we are putting our christmas tree up next weekend...this doesnt seem right! But I looove it!*

1 month old!
LOL
My follow up went good. I am 1 pound less than I was before I got preggers. Thank you breast feeding! My stitches still have not disolved....so I have to go back at the end of the month to be sure they are gone...grrr...Good news is that I am not in pain and dont even know they are there...but they are apparently.
I am returning my breast pump today. I am officially done pumping...we are transitioning to formula and little mans tummy is not happy. We were using similac advance because it is supposed to be most like breast milk, but it gave him diahrea for like 4 straight days so they made me switch to similac sensitive...we started it yesterday so I am hoping that he will start to feel better. Poor little guy. I wish I had the will power to just breast feed him until he starts baby food but there is no way I would be able to do that.....I guess you can call me selfish..but I hate it...So fingers crossed little tummy adjusts just fine to this new formula.

real quick
Just wanted to let you guys know we are doing good! Eric is growing like a weed and eating 5oz every 4-5 hours.....holy crap baby!
I am done pumping in a week and I am nervous about the whole drying up process. I am gradually going longer between pumps...I am up to 8 hours now instead of 4. So Wish me luck! I go to the OB Tuesday for my post partum follow up. Hopefully I am all healed up. I am ready to do some sit ups and get this belly firm again!
Eric was doing tummy time the other day and rolled from his tummy to his back..he decided he likes to do this and does it every time we do tummy time now. Ahhhhh why is he growing so fast?! He is trying to roll from back to tummy but hasnt mastered that one yet. I will keep you posted. He was doing tummy time and My mother in law was like "here, video it" and as soon as I started he rolled...and I freaked out like a retard...lol...but enjoy
love the little thigh rolls!!! I kiss them every chance I get.
