30 weeks!!!!!!

How your baby's growing:

Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and she weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds her, but that volume will decrease as she gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. Her eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after she's born, she'll keep her eyes closed for a good part of the day. When she does open them, she'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means she can only make out objects a few inches from her face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)

Ok I am borrowing this idea from my friend Lauren, a side by side of me at around 12 weeks (cant find one from 10 weeks) 20 weeks, and now 30 weeks.

I am so stinkin excited!!!! I can not believe that I only have 10 more weeks until my due date! AHHH!
I am not feeling any differant that usual. They typical tired, achey preggers. Starting this week I will be taking Thursdays off. So I am happy for that. After 3 9.5 hour days I am done for by Wednesday nights. And my doc appts are always on Thursdays so it will work out good.
I go this Thursday for my regular exam and if I havent gained any weight again, I guess they might do an U/S to check Erics weight. Which I am not at all worried about because he has been at least a half pound over the "normal" every time. So we will see!
I am excited for a few things this week! Tomorrow I am meeting my friends Laren, who is 7 weeks ahead of me, Kristi who is due days before Lauren and Stephanie and Lyla (who is almost 1 month old now)  for dinner! Thursday I am not really looking forward to because I have to go get my teeth cleaned and some fillings done after my OB appointment. But this weekend I have my second baby shower! =) My MIL church group is giving me a shower and I can not wait to see all of the cutsie stuff Eric gets! =)
And then, next weekend I will have my last shower that I am stoked about too!! Then I will finally be able to start organizing his room and getting everything we have not gotten yet. I can not wait to have it all done!

I am having THE hardest time finding an outfit that I want to bring him home from the hospital in. =( I can find a million girl outfits but NOTHING cute for boys. SO we will see what I finally end up with.....Its looking more and more like cowboy boots and a diaper. LOL JUST KIDDING! I will save that one for when hes at home! =)

I am so ready to meet him, and all of my friends little babies!!! I just found out that one of my best friends Heather, who is pregnant with her 4th, is having a little boy!! =) wooo hooo!!

I just got a call from my hubby......and my day just got bad. He went to the dermatologist last week and they found 3 spots that they removed and did a biopsy on. They called him this morning and one is severe, but not yet melanoma, and the other 2 are moderate. So he has to go for 3 different surgeries to take the whole area out. I am trying to be positive and thank god that it is not melanoma. I just HATE that he has to have it done =( and also we havent met our deductible for insurance. So it will not be cheap. Please keep him in your prayers and pray that they get it all!

Ok, I am going to get some work done. Hope you guys have a good week!

29 weeks

Holy moly folks! Only 11 more weeks until I am due!! I am getting more and more excited about kissing my little boys cheeks and tickling his little toes! I honestly can't wait to meet the best part of Michael and I =)

I am such a slacker....I finally ordered the bedding for his crib, it should be here in a few days. And the final peice of furniture, (changer/dresser) should be here HOPEFULLY in about 2 weeks. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it is here before August 6th because that is when my last shower is and it will be at my house! I would like for his room to be in SOME kind of order by then. I just have stuff laying everywhere, and it is driving me CRAZY!
This is the bedding, Not sure if I have shared it with y'all before:

Except instead of the sheet being solid red I got a little sheet that is like off white and has fire hydrants, dalmations and fire trucks on it...so it breaks it up a bit, I think it will look good =) And I like my crib better than this one...LOL

Once I get all my shipments I will take a picture of the nursery and post it for ya!

Here I am at 29 weeks. Everyone says "holy cow you are tiny to be so far along" I dont always feel tiny though..

I am trying to get better about having snacks between meals like the doc said to, but its difficult to remember to eat when you are not having hunger pains ya know?? I have never been a big eater...and I am no more hungry being pregnant than I was before so my eating habbits have not changed. I wish he would make me hungry so that I would eat more but that just is not happening. I cant force myself to keep eating at meal times when I am full.....so I dont know how this is gunna go but I will just keep my fingers crossed that I gain and more importantly he gains. =)

I am starting to have a really hard time sitting for long periods of time at work. I find myself having to stand up at my desk every now and then to releive some of the pressure off my back/hips/stomache. Eric is sittting really low right now and its not always comfortbale.

How your baby's growing:

Your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is growing bigger to make room for his developing brain. To meet his increasing nutritional demands, you'll need plenty of protein, vitamins C, folic acid, and iron. And because his bones are soaking up lots of calcium, be sure to drink your milk (or find another good source of calcium, such as cheese, yogurt, or enriched orange juice). This trimester, about 250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in your baby's hardening skeleton each day.

Hope you guys have a great week!

Update

Hey hey!

Just wanted to let you guys know what the doctor said yesterday. Nothing much has changed. I didnt gain any weight so she was not too happy about that and told me that I had better gain at least 2 pounds before she sees me in 2 weeks...So I am still at a total gain of 13 pounds so far.
Mr. Erics hearbeat was perfect and he was still head down. He has been head down for months now.
I am having some sharp pains when I use the bathroom and so the doctor did an internal to make sure my cervix was closed and still positioned ok. She said all felt fine and that the pains are just due to the weight on my cervix and some muscle spasms down there. As long as there is no constant pain or bleeding I am golden =)

I go again in 2 weeks. July 28th. I am going to do my best to eat a little more so that I gain some weight. I have just never gotten the whole "pregnancy appetite" I eat the same amount, sometimes maybe less than I did before I was preggers.  I also go to the dentist on the 28th...eewww

Have a great weekend!

28 weeks!

How your baby's growing:

By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of her head to her heels. She can blink her eyes, which now sport lashes. With her eyesight developing, she may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. She's also developing billions of neurons in her brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.

12 more weeks to go folks!!!! I am getting SO anxious for Eric to be here!! I absolutely can NOT wait! I go to the doctor Thursday for my regular visit. I am sure that not too much has changed in 2 weeks. I probably gained 2 more pounds but we will see!
Sunday night I had quite possibly the worst night of sleep EVER! I actually dont think you can even call it a night of sleep so I will rephrase that to the worst night of NOT SLEEPING ever! My heartburn was insane. So I couldnt lay down without feeling like I was on fire and about to throw up. My back, hips and ribs hurt sooo bad that I was not comfortable sitting or laying. I got a total of 1 hour and 45 minutes of sleep combined. That made for a VERY long 10 hour day at work. Needless to say I was a bit miserable yesterday.
BUT---last night was MUCH better. Not perfect. But I am NOT going to complain because it was nothing compared to Sunday night. I feel much better today.

I feel huge...I know I am not...but I feel like it. I feel heavy and puffy and like there is no way I can carry any more weight. But I know I will manage.
Excuse the nasty face...remember I am not running on much sleep =)

I am hoping that the extream lack of energy will not last very long. I definitely feel like I am in the first trimester again as far as that goes.  But I am so close! And he is TOTALLY worth it! =)

Hope you guys have a great week!! <3

27 weeks

How your baby's growing:

This week, your baby weighs almost 2 pounds (like a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 1/2 inches long with her legs extended. She's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing her eyes, and perhaps even sucking her fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While her lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if she were to be born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother her, so just relax and enjoy the tickle.

We went to the doctor last Thursday. My cervical length looks perfect and Eric is still weighing in ahead of schedule. He was about 2 pounds 3oz as of Thursday. =)
He was just as adorable as ever! I can not wait to hold him and kiss him!

My friend Stephanie had her baby, Lyla Grace yesterday! I am sooo happy for them! I can not wait to meet miss Lyla!

My hubby and I are on vacation this week. We are trying to get a lot done around the house and spend a lot of time together while we both have a week off!

I am sore and tired but other than that I am still feeling great!

XOXO
Britt
