1 year Old!!!!

Hello! Yet again, I suck at this. Its been almost TWO MONTHS since I last posted! Since then SOOO much has happened! Let me start from where I left off at the end of August!

We had a great trip to South Carolina! We got to relax much more than we did in Florida! It was so nice and Eric had a BLAST!

When we got home from our vacation we started to settle back into our routine which was a little harry at first. I had to get used to Mike being back at work, Eric had to get used to daddy not being home all the time and he had to re acclimate to his schedule. So, after a week or so we were back on home time!
Then the birthday party planning was in full force! I was a MESS and had it not been for my main girl, Lauren I probably would have DIED. She helped me do all his little crafty decorations and made DELICIOUS cake pops and did SO much to help me stay on schedule and stay sane! The party was a success and Eric was a little angel all day! He loved his cupcake and all of the attention! We have plenty of clothes and toys to keep us busy for a while thanks to all of our friends and family! I will say that next year, I will not be doing the birthday at my house! I will be renting a pavillion at the local park and letting the kiddos run wild on the play ground. Also, what ever happened to just cake and ice cream parties??? It may be old fashioned, but thats what I am doing next year. I spent so much money on food for this dang party and hardly any of it got eaten. So, people that attended...I am sorry in advance. If you would have eaten more then I would have food at the next party.....but you didn't so cake and ice cream it is! LOL

Here are some pics of Erics big day!

Now for some updates on Eric!
  • He is full on walking his little tush everywhere and into EVERYTHING I am nuts!
  • He dances! It is the cutest thing I have ever seen in the whole world.
  • He says ball "Dowl", dada, daddy, mom, mama, dog "dohg", nigh nigh, this "dis", that "dat"
  • At his one year check up he was 22.8 pounds and 30.5 inches long.
  • He gives kisses and they melt my heart

We went to the pumpkin patch at the church the other day and he was SO excited about all of the "balls" LOL he pointed at all of them and said "dowl!" It was super cute until he started to pick up the little "dowls" and throw them...yeah, not too good.

He is a terrific eater! He loves food and gets whole milk no formula! He gets all sippy cups during the day and still gets a bottle before bed. I am going to have to give this one up soon. I just need to do it. That is literally the only time he lets me hold him and snuggle him and I just can not let it go. But I need to..and soon.

He is is size 12-18 months just depending on brand. Size 4 diapers. Size 5 wide shoes.

He still only has 6 teeth. 4top 2 bottom. Not sure when the others will make their arrival but it would be great if they would hurry because he is just miserable some days!

Anyhow. I think that is all the fun and exciting news from the Ebrights for now. Ill try and post again before he starts kindergarten LOL.

I will leave you with a photo of him in his cool swing that Aunt Jennifer got him for his birthday!

been a while

Hello all! Its been a long time since I posted. I just wanted to update you all on what has been going on the last 2 months! Eric will be 11 months old in a week! Holy cow! He has 6 teeth which he thinks he has to show all 6 when he smiles, and I think he is about to have another one pop through. He can walk but prefers to crawl. He is such a stinker and I love his little personality.

We just got back from a week at the beach for my sister in laws wedding. I was super stressed about the car ride with Eric. It is a 6.5 hour trip. We left at 3am and he slept the whole way down. On the way back we left at 10am and he was not so sweet on the way home. He hates being stapped down for that long, I felt terrible. We are home until 3am tomorrow. Then we head on another 6.5 hour car ride to Edisto Beach South Carolina until Sunday. Fingers crossed the travel is good.

Eric LOVED the ocean he loved the waves and he was soo cute! He tried to swim and splash and just enjoyed it so much. He was not crazy about the sand but he dealt with it fine. For the wedding he got to wear a little tiny hawiian shirt that matched Mike and my father in law, ADORABLE! Will post pics!

When we get back from S.C. I have to start getting everything finalized for his birthday party! I can not wait!!

Here are some pics from our Florida trip.

9 month check up

Hello! Eric went for his 9 month check up today! He is 20.9 pounds and 29.5 inches long. His ears are completely clear and hes healthy as a horse! I am so happy!
He has 3 teeth and is just a bundle of love! He has been loving the pool every day and he is so cute to watch! He kicks his legs and flaps his arms like hes swimming so I am hopeful that he will be an easy one to teach to swim. I am going to try and start lessons with him soon! A group of us want to do them together with all of the little ones!

We had our first fall that drew blood on Monday....my MIL was getting him ready for his bath and he pulled up on the side of the bath tub and fell and knocked his gum where his top tooth is coming in and it bled a lot. He was sooo upset but got over it pretty quickly and is just fine now. I know that this will be one of many and that he is all boy and will be into everything. I have to get some tough skin.

We go to our last physical therapy appointment on Friday. The pedi told me today that she thought I should keep going to them because he still leans a little SOMETIMES. Our $4,000.00 deductible starts over Sunday and at $900 to $1,400 per visit to PT I will just do the stretches at home. That may make me a bad parent but she literally shows me how to do ALL of the stretches AT home....so why should we pay to have her do them for an hour twice a month?? If I feel like his lean is getting worse then I will start him back on the therapy..but I think that I am capable of knowing when its to that point and keeping up with the stretches myself. It wont be any good for any of us if we are broke from spending 2,000.00 a month on PT Visits until our deductible is met....don't get me wrong...I will spend it if it is needed but I just feel like I do the same things at home...

I am getting so stressed excited about his birthday party! We are doing a Choo Choo train theme and I found exactly what I was looking for on Etsy.com today. la petite party shoppe. Its a package that she personalizes and emails to me to download and I can just put it on a flash drive and go get it all printed out. Its the invitations, napkin wrappers, cupcake wrappers and topperss, cake toppers, decorative signs, thank you notes, "Happy Birthday Eric" banner, a high chair banner, party hats, and more! She customized it for me because I didnt want some of the things in the origional package so she cut the price down $5 and for $20 I am done after I print and cut! Thats what Im talkin about...one stop shop!!

OH oh oh!!! Eric got his first hair cut last Friday! He got an inch off and he looks like such a little man now!!! ahhhh....My little dude is growing up and I can not even stand it!

one whole inch gone!!

He has started to shake his head and say "no" or "doh" or "ooh" LOL whatever comes out. But its really cute for now. And "hello" is "Hewohh" or "haarrroooh" its just awesome....even though I usually have to say hello like a million times before he will repeat it its still awesome.

We have Lylas first birthday party on Saturday. I can not believe that all of the babies are turning ONE in the next few months. Time has literally FLOWN by. Lauren and I had Rilynn and Eric at the pool this past weekend and we were saying how this time last year we were at the pool big and pregnant and now our little ones are floating around splashing and Ri is walking! Its just incredible how adorable these little ones are. And I am so proud of all of us for becoming such great parents and loving every single minute of it. I am truely blessed to have such great friends to support me and keep me company, and that Eric is going to grow up with these sweet and smart little people and they will hopefully develope life long friendships as I have with their mommies.

Anyhow....He will officially be 9 months on Monday and I will post pictures at some point! Ok oK....so it will probably be when he is almost 10 months that I finally post...but whos keeping track?! LOL

8 months old and an update

So we have had a crazy week! Last Thursday Eric had his tear duct surgery, He did great with the surgery and it was super quick. The anesthesia made him throw up a little bit and he was very tired throughout the day. Thursday night he started running really high fevers and friday morning he would not eat at all. I took him to the doctor and his ear infections were worse and he had ulcers in his throat from hand foot and mouth disease. (a virus)
So poor dude could not even swallow his own spit. It was pitiful. I had to feed him from a medicine dropper all day. They gave him a shot of a very strong antibiotic for his ears since none of the 3 prescriptions we have tried have worked. He went to the doctor again on Monday and the ear infections are still there but looking a little better so they gave him another shot of the same antibiotic. We go back to the doctor today at 2:20 to see if there has been any further progress. If the ears are still infected we are headed to an ENT to talk about tubes. We are going on week 9 of ear infections and it has to stop somewhere.
He is feeling so much better the last couple of days. He is eating a ton and crawling all over the place. It is so nice to see him acting like his happy little self again! Its so heart breaking when they are sick and he tries so hard to be happy and smile even when he feels like poo.

He is a crazy kid now. He is into EVERYTHING and pulling up on things and I am a nervous wreck! I can not take my eyes off of him. I am going to have to invest in some baby gates because the child follows me everywhere. Gone are the days of putting him in his room to play and him staying there until I come to get him....

Here are a few pictures. He is getting so big so fast.

Monday at the doc he was 20.2 lbs. down 2oz because hes been sick

Ear infections and eye surgery

Hello! So, Eric will be 8 months old tomorrow! Can you even believe it?!
The last 6 weeks we have been battling an ear infection in his right ear. Today we went back to the doctor and he still has it and it is moving into his left ear now. So we are about to start our THIRD round of antibiotics and see what happens. I am fed up and went ahead and called to make an appointment with an ear nose and throat doctor. Our insurance deductible starts over at the beginning of July, so I dont want to just mess around with all of these dif. medications and then have to take him to a specialist whne our deductible starts over...so I am going to go ahead and get it over with while its free. Maybe they will do something to fix his poor little ears!
Also, since he was born his left eye has been watering. The doctor said that if it was not better by 9 months that she would send us to a pediatric opthamologist. (again with the deductible) we went early and he has a clogged tear duct and will have a minor surgery next Thursday to unclog it and irrigate the nasty stuff out. I know that he will be completely fine I am just so nervous for him to be put to sleep. Im going to be a wreck that day!

Other than all that fun stuff, he has 2 bottom teeth and one coming in on the top. He is crawling and pulling up and just a handful of energy. He loves the pool and he is just so adorable. I will take his 8 month photos tomorrow and post them for all of you!

Thanks for letting me vent!

7 months

Ok, so I am a couple of weeks late...but better than nothin! Eric was 7 months old May 2. He is so big! He is feeding himself really well now (not baby food, but the yougurt melts and things like that) He had his first big fall and it broke my heart. He fell out of the high chair....scared the ever living S*^t out of me but he was fine.
Also had his first ear infection. =( He just finished all of his antibiotics yesterday and seems to be feeling good. He was pitiful for a few days and I am so glad that he is feeling better. We go back to the doctor Friday morning to be sure its all cleared up!
We woke up this morning to his VERY FIRST TOOTH!! Its on the bottom and just popped through! Its going to be so cute when it comes all the way in!
I had a great first mothers day and I am so thankful for my little man! I am so blessed to have such a happy and healthy son.

Here is a picture of the little dude:

April 2012

Well, I am officially the worst blogger mommy ever....It has been almost 2 months since I posted last and the whole stinkin blogger website has changed so I have no idea how to navigate my way through this thing anymore....
Since I never posted pictures of Eric at 6 months I will start there.

We went for his 6 month check up at the beginning of April and he was 19.1 pounds and 28 inches long. Huge baby boy! He is healthy as a horse and just so yummy! He passed his first eye test and is doing great in physical therapy. We should be done with the therapy in the next month or 2. =)
He is loving baby food still. He eats 3 meals a day and 4 bottles per day. He loves to snack on yogurt melts and baby puffs. He is growing soo fast! He has learned to drink from a straw so he got a new sippy cup with a straw and loves it! He thinks he is cool stuff.
Easter was great! We had the family over to our house and the Easter bunny brough Eric a huge basket of fun goodies! We had great food and a lot of fun!
Opening his new goodies from the Easter bunny. Check out the hat LOL
Trying celery...didnt dig it. Ended up throwing it at my Mother in law.
Michael and Eric spent a whole night in the kitchen listening to music and playing..it was adorable.
Little dude has started to sit up and loves it. (he got his "car" from the easter bunny)
haha, he has not started to crawl yet. He moves in circles and scoots backwards. He it trying very hard to figure it out but has
I am still amazed every day at the changes in him, and I am so lucky and thankful that I have such a happy and healthy baby boy. He is the light of my life and I can not imagine not having him to kiss and snuggle with every day. I just love being his mommy =)
As for other new things...he claps. Its cute. And he growls...allll theeee timeeee... he still will not say momma...but says dada and daddy..go figure.
He jabbers constanly but nooo mommas..=( I think he is saving it for mothers day...what do you think?? ;-)
I think that sums up the last month and I really hope that I will get back in the groove of blogging more often. I will try and remember to post his 7month photos next week.
