21 down...19 to go!

How your baby's growing:

Your baby now weighs about three-quarters of a pound and is approximately 10 1/2 inches long — the length of a carrot. You may soon feel like she's practicing martial arts as her initial fluttering movements turn into full-fledged kicks and nudges. You may also discover a pattern to her activity as you get to know her better. In other developments, your baby's eyebrows and lids are present now, and if you're having a girl, her vagina has begun to form as well.

I feel like they always say "she" in these updates! LOL. But my little guy is definitely not a girl! They confirmed that for the 3rd time this past Friday!
I am feeling good. Having probelmes sleeping the past couple of nights. But I am used to it =)
Heartburn is still roaring its ugly head and my appetite is picking up. I wake up STARVING in the mornings.
I am having some friends over Sunday to lay by the pool with me...they are all preggo too! We are going to enjoy virgin beverages and the nice cool water! I am looking forward to realxing with good company!!

This is me at 21 weeks
I think thats all for now! I am ready for the long weekend!!

XOXO

Restless

Hello!
I am tired! I had a long weekend with not much rest. Friday we went for our 20 week ultrasound. It was awesome! Eric decided that he wanted to lay on upside down the whole entire time so we didnt get any fun pictures of his profile =( But he had his little legs crossed at this ankle so we got to see his feet and toes really well, he did wave at us. Heart, kidneys, stomach, brain and skull looked right on schedule. He is approx 11oz and his feet are HUGE!  When she scanned over his little feet I was like "Holy crap are his feet abnormally big?!" She said "they are definitely big" So I guess he will have Michaels feet! I have some cute tiny little shoes for him and now I am not so sure he will fit in them.
My cervical length still looks good according to the tech so hopefully my doc will be happy with the measurments too! I go back in 3 weeks for my regular visit and then again the following week to check cervical length again. So I get to see my little man in 4 more weeks! I love watching him grow!
Saturday, we went to visit my dad. His neighbor has this huge crawfish boil/cookout every year with a band and everything. It was fun. We spent the night up there and came home Sunday afternoon. I did not sleep well saturday night. I forgot my preggo pillow and I was just sore from being on my feet and outside all day. So I am still just really tired. Yesterday Michael and I floated in the pool for a while...my new floats are AMAZING! They are SO comfy and I love them! So I am excited to spend a lot of time in them this summer! Especially if yesterdays temps are anything like what they are going to be for the rest of the summer. HOT HOT HOT!
I am ready for this Monday to be OVER! I want to go home and see my hubby and do NOTHING at all. Hopefully he remembered to lay dinner out of the freezer so that we dont have to go out!
I am stuck here by myself at the office so the day is going by SLOW! Kaitlin left early because she has a sun burn and didnt sleep well last night.

That is all for now!

Half Way!!!

How your baby's growing:

Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana. (For the first 20 weeks, when a baby's legs are curled up against his torso and hard to measure, measurements are taken from the top of his head to his bottom — the "crown to rump" measurement. After 20 weeks, he's measured from head to toe.)
He's swallowing more these days, which is good practice for his digestive system. He's also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in his bowels, and you'll see it in his first soiled diaper (some babies pass meconium in the womb or during delivery).

Ahhhhhhh I am so excited to be half way through! I can not wait to meet Eric! My sleeping has not been very good due to back pain. And my heartburn has definitely kicked it up a notch or so. Little man is moving a lot and I love that feeling! My appetite is changing a little, I notice that I am getting hungry between meals. I have not been feeling great the past 2 days but I think it is probably because I am not sleeping well and I am just tired. And this weekend we stayed really busy and I was on my feet a lot and probably did not meet my fluid requirments. So I think just a mixture of everything is making me feel blah. =(
We got the guest room furniture out of the nursery and into the other guest room this weekend and also got the crib put together along with the bassinet and a little shelf thing I got with canvas baskets! Thank you to my husband, Justin and Cameron for all the help! I am so excited that I can walk in and see his crib and think about seeing him in it! I can not wait to get the rest of the furniture!Hopefully will be delivered in the next month or so.
I go to the doctor for an ultrasound to check my cervix on Friday. I am excited to see my little man!

I think that is all for now.
XOXO

Update

You are looking at a 120 pound Brittany at 19 weeks!! Thats right! I gained 4 pounds since my last visit! So that makes 5 pounds total throughout the pregnancy.
Doctors visit went great! Eric's heart sounds strong and my weight gain was good news. I have a little bit of a rash on my sbelly that ha been there for a couple of months that I kept forgetting to ask about...it is not bothersom at all. She said it is just hormonal and as long as it is not itching or painful all should be fine. I go back a week from tomorrow for an ultrasound to check my Cervix. Hopefully it will still look fabulous!
I am excited to see my little man! =)

My old boss came over last night to bring us some baby clothes. =) He has 3 kiddos so we are happy to have his hand me downs! He also brough this fun little play boppy thing for the baby to lay on and play with toys over his head.

While I was at the docotor she asked me about the nursery and fun stuff like that and I was telling her how the crib will be deilivered Saturday and how I wanted to go get the mattress Friday. She said, "Brittany, don't buy a mattress I have one that is like brand new that is yours" WOOOO HOOOOOO! That makes me feel a lot better about spending the money on the bedding! =) So I might just go ahead and order it tomorrow!

I am feeling pretty good! My tummy feels tight and crampy but that is to be expected. I am keeping lotion on it to try and prevent stretch marks...which I know that they are not really preventable but hey...good to stay moisterized right?? Maybe I wont get any!

Love you all!

19 week update

How your baby's growing:

Your baby's sensory development is exploding! Her brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. Some research suggests that she may be able to hear your voice now, so don't be shy about reading aloud, talking to her, or singing a happy tune if the mood strikes you.
Your baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches, head to bottom — about the size of a large heirloom tomato. Her arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of her body now. Her kidneys continue to make urine and the hair on her scalp is sprouting. A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa is forming on her skin to prevent it from pickling in the amniotic fluid.

Yay Eric! A little over half a pound!

I am feeling good! Can't beleive I am almost half way to meeting my little man! He has been such a good little angel! Never made mommy sick! I can't help but wonder if that is because he knows that he is going to be like his daddy and give me a hard time the next 20 years..so he is taking it easy on me while he is baking... Either way, I appreciate his kindness =)
Auntie Kaitlin got to feel him kick at work today. He is telling everyone "Hello! Cant wait to meet you!"

I feel huge.. I can't wait to go to the doctor tomorrow. I hope I get to see him again. I will let all of you know what they say!

Hope everyone is having a good week! I am ready for the weekend! Crib will be delivered on Saturday! I am ready to order the bedding but it is NOT cheap!! So, I will save up for the next couple pay checks so it isnt that big of a blow to the bank account. We also have to go get a mattress. I will do that Friday. I am ready for him to be in his little room so that I can see him whenever I want!!

XOXO

Mondays..

Hello!!

First exciting update: Michael felt Eric move on cinco de Mayo!! He felt him roll around. =)

It is definitely a typical Monday. Very busy morning at work..but I am caught up now. whew!! This weekend was NOT long enough....but I guess they never really are. Friday's I get off at 11. I went home and went to lunch with Michael then came home and mowed the pasture. I LOVE being on the tractor! It is a great way to enjoy the beautiful weather! I stayed very hydrated which meant I had to stop and pee about 3 times...I did not get much sun because Michael made me load up with the sunscreen =( But I guess it is better than being burned.
Saturday I spent the day with my wonderful mom! We went to lunch at Cracker Barrel YUMMM! I had chicken and dumplins and Eric LOVED! =) She got to feel Eric kick =) Happy mothers day Grandma!!
Sunday Michael got home from work about 7:45 in the morning..and I woke up to a beautiful rose and the SWEETEST mothers day card! We then cooked out with my MIL and FIL. My MIL got to feel him kick as well! And then he kicked Michael really good and hard. He knows his daddy *hehe* I am so excited that everyone else can feel him now. It was making me crazy that I was the only one that could for a little while.

The crib should be delivered this week! And hopefully the rest of the furniture soon after!!

This was me Saturday..18 weeks 3 days.

I think that is all the excitment for now!

Hope all of you had a wonderful Mothers Day!!

18 week update

How your baby's growing:

Head to rump, your baby is about 5 1/2 inches long (about the length of a bell pepper) and he weighs almost 7 ounces. He's busy flexing his arms and legs — movements that you'll start noticing more and more in the weeks ahead. His blood vessels are visible through his thin skin, and his ears are now in their final position, although they're still standing out from his head a bit. A protective covering of myelin is beginning to form around his nerves, a process that will continue for a year after he's born. If you're having a girl, her uterus and fallopian tubes are formed and in place. If you're having a boy, his genitals are noticeable now, but he may hide them from you during an ultrasound.

My little bell pepper! =) He moves a lot. I still only feel him when I am being still and we cant feel him from the outside yet. But soon enough! I love feeling his little nudges..like little bubbles inside.
I did not get much sleep last night so I am super tired today. I will hopefully be able to sleep tonight...I was 30 min late to work because I could not get out of bed. That always just throws my whole day off.

This weekend I went to my friends baby shower. She is 31 weeks pregnant with a little girl and it was so much fun to see all of the cute little girl stuff that she got! I had a good time shopping for her too!
While doing so, I of course came home with a few things for Eric too! Babies R Us was having a HUGE clearence sale and all of their clearence things were marked way down AND buy one get one free! Kaitlin (My friend) also got him a few outfits, Including a pair of overalls and the TINIEST pair of John Deere socks!! ahhh so cute! My mom came over this weekend while our roof was being fixed and brough a few outfits, little socks, mittens, and a pair of shoes and size zero puppy house slippers! haha I love them! I am sure that Charlie (my love dog) will take the pleasure of taking them off of Erics feet as soon as I put them on. We will see!

Yes, My roof is fixed! And we were SO lucky that my moms boyfriend Steve is in construction and took the time out to come and help us out. He did it for some beers, dinner and gas money! Cant beat that! Thank you Steve!! Dont know what we would have done without ya!

I go back to the doctor on May 11th...next Wednesday. I am wondering if I have gained any weight. We do not own a scale. So I am anxious! I definitely feel like I have gained a couple pounds but we will see.

I think that is all for now.. XOXO
