9 month check up

Hello! Eric went for his 9 month check up today! He is 20.9 pounds and 29.5 inches long. His ears are completely clear and hes healthy as a horse! I am so happy!
He has 3 teeth and is just a bundle of love! He has been loving the pool every day and he is so cute to watch! He kicks his legs and flaps his arms like hes swimming so I am hopeful that he will be an easy one to teach to swim. I am going to try and start lessons with him soon! A group of us want to do them together with all of the little ones!

We had our first fall that drew blood on Monday....my MIL was getting him ready for his bath and he pulled up on the side of the bath tub and fell and knocked his gum where his top tooth is coming in and it bled a lot. He was sooo upset but got over it pretty quickly and is just fine now. I know that this will be one of many and that he is all boy and will be into everything. I have to get some tough skin.

We go to our last physical therapy appointment on Friday. The pedi told me today that she thought I should keep going to them because he still leans a little SOMETIMES. Our $4,000.00 deductible starts over Sunday and at $900 to $1,400 per visit to PT I will just do the stretches at home. That may make me a bad parent but she literally shows me how to do ALL of the stretches AT home....so why should we pay to have her do them for an hour twice a month?? If I feel like his lean is getting worse then I will start him back on the therapy..but I think that I am capable of knowing when its to that point and keeping up with the stretches myself. It wont be any good for any of us if we are broke from spending 2,000.00 a month on PT Visits until our deductible is met....don't get me wrong...I will spend it if it is needed but I just feel like I do the same things at home...

I am getting so stressed excited about his birthday party! We are doing a Choo Choo train theme and I found exactly what I was looking for on Etsy.com today. la petite party shoppe. Its a package that she personalizes and emails to me to download and I can just put it on a flash drive and go get it all printed out. Its the invitations, napkin wrappers, cupcake wrappers and topperss, cake toppers, decorative signs, thank you notes, "Happy Birthday Eric" banner, a high chair banner, party hats, and more! She customized it for me because I didnt want some of the things in the origional package so she cut the price down $5 and for $20 I am done after I print and cut! Thats what Im talkin about...one stop shop!!

OH oh oh!!! Eric got his first hair cut last Friday! He got an inch off and he looks like such a little man now!!! ahhhh....My little dude is growing up and I can not even stand it!

one whole inch gone!!

He has started to shake his head and say "no" or "doh" or "ooh" LOL whatever comes out. But its really cute for now. And "hello" is "Hewohh" or "haarrroooh" its just awesome....even though I usually have to say hello like a million times before he will repeat it its still awesome.

We have Lylas first birthday party on Saturday. I can not believe that all of the babies are turning ONE in the next few months. Time has literally FLOWN by. Lauren and I had Rilynn and Eric at the pool this past weekend and we were saying how this time last year we were at the pool big and pregnant and now our little ones are floating around splashing and Ri is walking! Its just incredible how adorable these little ones are. And I am so proud of all of us for becoming such great parents and loving every single minute of it. I am truely blessed to have such great friends to support me and keep me company, and that Eric is going to grow up with these sweet and smart little people and they will hopefully develope life long friendships as I have with their mommies.

Anyhow....He will officially be 9 months on Monday and I will post pictures at some point! Ok oK....so it will probably be when he is almost 10 months that I finally post...but whos keeping track?! LOL

8 months old and an update

So we have had a crazy week! Last Thursday Eric had his tear duct surgery, He did great with the surgery and it was super quick. The anesthesia made him throw up a little bit and he was very tired throughout the day. Thursday night he started running really high fevers and friday morning he would not eat at all. I took him to the doctor and his ear infections were worse and he had ulcers in his throat from hand foot and mouth disease. (a virus)
So poor dude could not even swallow his own spit. It was pitiful. I had to feed him from a medicine dropper all day. They gave him a shot of a very strong antibiotic for his ears since none of the 3 prescriptions we have tried have worked. He went to the doctor again on Monday and the ear infections are still there but looking a little better so they gave him another shot of the same antibiotic. We go back to the doctor today at 2:20 to see if there has been any further progress. If the ears are still infected we are headed to an ENT to talk about tubes. We are going on week 9 of ear infections and it has to stop somewhere.
He is feeling so much better the last couple of days. He is eating a ton and crawling all over the place. It is so nice to see him acting like his happy little self again! Its so heart breaking when they are sick and he tries so hard to be happy and smile even when he feels like poo.

He is a crazy kid now. He is into EVERYTHING and pulling up on things and I am a nervous wreck! I can not take my eyes off of him. I am going to have to invest in some baby gates because the child follows me everywhere. Gone are the days of putting him in his room to play and him staying there until I come to get him....

Here are a few pictures. He is getting so big so fast.

Monday at the doc he was 20.2 lbs. down 2oz because hes been sick

Ear infections and eye surgery

Hello! So, Eric will be 8 months old tomorrow! Can you even believe it?!
The last 6 weeks we have been battling an ear infection in his right ear. Today we went back to the doctor and he still has it and it is moving into his left ear now. So we are about to start our THIRD round of antibiotics and see what happens. I am fed up and went ahead and called to make an appointment with an ear nose and throat doctor. Our insurance deductible starts over at the beginning of July, so I dont want to just mess around with all of these dif. medications and then have to take him to a specialist whne our deductible starts over...so I am going to go ahead and get it over with while its free. Maybe they will do something to fix his poor little ears!
Also, since he was born his left eye has been watering. The doctor said that if it was not better by 9 months that she would send us to a pediatric opthamologist. (again with the deductible) we went early and he has a clogged tear duct and will have a minor surgery next Thursday to unclog it and irrigate the nasty stuff out. I know that he will be completely fine I am just so nervous for him to be put to sleep. Im going to be a wreck that day!

Other than all that fun stuff, he has 2 bottom teeth and one coming in on the top. He is crawling and pulling up and just a handful of energy. He loves the pool and he is just so adorable. I will take his 8 month photos tomorrow and post them for all of you!

Thanks for letting me vent!
