Choices...And 13 week update
Hello!
I think Baby E is going through a growth spurt today. I am having some nice little cramps today and my belly feels tight on the bottom or something...kind of hard to explain...but I am sure it is just my uterus stretching.
I have noticed the past few weeks that my skin has been really dry, my scalp and everything. I thought I had developed dandruff...but when I was talking to my lovely preggers friends at dinner last week, they said it happened to them too...so apparently it is the pregnancy. So I have just been slathering on the lotion and not too sure what to do about the scalp...but it is all good!
I am still peeing like 6,300 times a day..Luckily I have never been one to wake up in the middle of the night having to pee, and it has not changed since I got preggers. I can not sleep anyway so not that it would matter....but it is nice that I can lay there awake and not have to get up..
Michael and I are thinking up a new girls name....We are definitely keeping Grace as the middle name...just changing the first name...I so hope it is a boy so we can just avoid the girls name right now!
We have started talking more and more about what we will do with our little bundle of love when I have to go back to work...I hate all the options...It is hard to think about leaving my baby..even though he/she is not here yet. I wish we could win the lottery so that I could stay home with it for a little while.
It is so crazy how many decisions there are to make. And none of them just affect me and Michael anymore, we are making choice and decisions based on how it will impact our child. And that brings you to a completely new level in your thought process. It is incredible how much you change....in a good way. I have found that I am discovering a whole new part of myself, and the way that I think. I just want to make all the right choices for me and my family.
Thought this was funny....Michael and I were talking a couple of weeks ago and I was talking about how I will probably rock a bikini at our pool in the back yard. He said "No, babe! What if the sun makes the baby blind?! You need to cover your belly." I just laughed.....Ok...I laughed REALLY hard. But let it go..well I mentioned it to his mom and she almost died laughing....so needless to say the whole family has been giving him crap lately about his smart little comment. I thought it was adorable and had to share it with y'all. I find it facinating how the men in our lives think sometimes..I think its so cute.
Here is the 13 week update~
Love you all!

How your baby's growing:
Fingerprints have formed on your baby's tiny fingertips, her veins and organs are clearly visible through her still-thin skin, and her body is starting to catch up with her head — which makes up just a third of her body size now. If you're having a girl, she now has more than 2 million eggs in her ovaries. Your baby is almost 3 inches long (the size of a medium shrimp) and weighs nearly an ounce.Love you all!

Hey hey!
So Michael and I went to eat japanese food last night...we both love sushi....and I was like "ok, I can have a fried shrimp roll." I mean it is friend shrimp and rice...I am allowed to have that!! So it came out and looked soooo good! I started eating and about 3 bites in....Michael said "baby, are you allowed to have those fish eggs that are on top?!" I immediately felt like I was going to throw up, I was so upset! I looked at him and said "NO! Probably not!" I did not even notice that they were on there! =( So I called my mother in law and asked if baby was ok...she said that since I didnt eat too much that she doesnt think it will cause any problems, she is going to ask my doctor when she gets to work. I know that I am probably waaaayyy over reacting, but it just made me so upset that I was so careless! It killed me that I did something that could hurt my little love! I feel better this morning....I am sure that everything is fine....It isnt like we went to a hole in the wall sushi joint...it is a really nice place. So I am sure that the fish eggs were good quality! LOL.
Ok...enough about that! I am still feeling good! Not sleeping well at night still. And I have been kind of crampy the past day or 2, I am guessing it is another growth spurt for my little love!
The weather is really crappy! It rained all weekend, and was POURING this morning on my way to work...that does not make it any easier to get out of bed, or keep my eyes open!
Countdown to finding out what baby is: 2 weeks from TODAY! I am excited to see if I have gained any more weight.... It made me nervous that I had only gained 1 lb at my last appt. But that is normal they say. As long as my baby is growing I am cool with not gaining weight! =) It is just crazy how I have not gained much weight but cant fit in my pants! =) Interesting!

Growing
Hey!
So my belly is growing....and growing....and I am a little scared because I am only 3 months pregnant! None of my pants button....I just have this belly pooch. Though it is still small to most...to me, it is giant! LOL. I know I still have a TON of growing to do in the coming months...I just didnt expect it this soon. I am hoping that it all stays in my tummy area and doesnt spread! =) I took a belly picture yesterday and compared it to the one that I took at 6 and a half weeks..and I thought I had a belly then....I have definitely grown since then...Just seems funny to me that I feel so pregnant yet no one else can tell. I feel like if I stand up everyone will be like "WHOA! she is preggers" But it doesnt look big at all to other people...except for people that see me every day/ I guess this will take some getting used to on my part!
We had dinner with some of our friends last night. My friend Stephanie is also expecting. She is 25 weeks now I beleive. She has the CUTEST little belly I have ever seen! I can not wait to look like that so that people dont just think I am some chick with a gut that wears clothes that dont fit! =) haha. We had buffalo wings and then went to Cold Stone for Ice cream. I got the founders favorite, which is sweet cream ice cream with brownie chunks, fudge, caramel and pecans....LET ME TELL YOU.....pregnant womans DREAM!! I was a happy mama!
I need clothes that fit......I ordered some dresses online today that are not maternity...I got one size bigger to allow for my "girls" to fit as they grow..and the dresses are kind of flowy in the tummy area so I think they will work for a while. At least I hope they do, because they are cute!
I have not been sleeping great at night....My pillow helps sooooo much...but I just find myself tossing and turning at certain points of the night. So I am pretty tired...but I am finding that I am slowly getting more energy. Like the past 2 nights I have gone home...and instead of falling asleep on the couch as soon as I see it....I have done laundry, taken a bath, cooked dinner. and actually gone to bed at a normal adult time....So that has been nice..though I am so tired all day long.
I can NOT wait to be able to work on the nursery! I have so many ideas and I just want it to be decorated so that I can go in there and just sit and fill my babys future room with love and good thoughts. 2 and a half weeks folks! Then we will be able to decorate and shop!! woooo hooooo!!!! =)
Anyhow, Just an update!
XOXO

How your baby's growing:
The most dramatic development this week: reflexes. Your baby's fingers will soon begin to open and close, his toes will curl, his eye muscles will clench, and his mouth will make sucking movements. In fact, if you prod your abdomen, your baby will squirm in response, although you won't be able to feel it. His intestines, which have grown so fast that they protrude into the umbilical cord, will start to move into his abdominal cavity about now, and his kidneys will begin excreting urine into his bladder.Meanwhile, nerve cells are multiplying rapidly, and in your baby's brain, synapses are forming furiously. His face looks unquestionably human: His eyes have moved from the sides to the front of his head, and his ears are right where they should be. From crown to rump, your baby-to-be is just over 2 inches long (about the size of a lime) and weighs half an ounce.
I LOVE getting these! I can not wait to meet this little person!

I am slacking off!
Hello!
I am so sorry that I have been such a slacker with updating this lately. I have been keeping pretty busy and when I am not keeping busy, I am sleeping!
I am still feeling awesome! Still not too much energy but I think it is getting a little better. We find out what we are having 3 weeks from today!! I can not wait! My belly seems to be growing a little. Pants are definitely tighter. I can not beleive I am almost through the first trimester! Holy cow! Time is flying by! I thought that it would go soooo slow, but I was very wrong! Baby E will be here in no time!
My mom and brother are getting us our nursery furniture. We are very blessed to have such a wonderful family that is excited to help! I honestly do not know what I would do without our family and friends!
After we find out what baby is, we will get the bedding and I can not wait for that!! I can't wait to see the little nursery all finished and awesome! =)
That is all for now I guess! Love you all!!
XOXOXO

How your baby's growing:
Your baby, just over 1 1/2 inches long and about the size of a fig, is now almost fully formed. Her hands will soon open and close into fists, tiny tooth buds are beginning to appear under her gums, and some of her bones are beginning to harden. She's already busy kicking and stretching, and her tiny movements are so effortless they look like water ballet. These movements will become more frequent as her body grows and becomes more developed and functional. You won't feel your baby's acrobatics for another month or two — nor will you notice the hiccupping that may be happening now that her diaphragm is forming.

1 Pound
So I got all of the results to my blood work. Everything is normal and my blood type is O+ which I never knew. So, I guess that is a good thing to know. I have gained 1 whopping pound since the beginnning of my pregnancy. =) Which is crazy to me because my pants are all a bit too tight. I started at 115lbs I am 116lbs as of last Monday.
Still no spotting which makes me so happy! Baby and I enjoyed the beautiful weather on Sunday. Took a ride on the four wheeler and just sat in the sunshine. Thanks to the time springing forward an hour, baby and I are super tired today. But that is not too abnormal these days! There is certainly no "spring" in my step today.
I know this is a baby blog...BUT I have to ask...Who has been watching the Bachelor this season?? The finale is tonight and I am SO hoping that I can keep my eyes peeled open long enough to watch the whole show and the "After the Final Rose" show!! I REALLY hope he picks Emily. She is such a sweet sweet soul and deserves happiness!
Ok! that is enough about the bachelor! Just had to throw that in there!
I thought I would start including a quote of the day...For those who want to read them I hope you enjoy.

Quick
Hello! Just a quick update. No more spotting as of now. =) Doctor said I could continue with normal activity such as cleaning and things like that after I had no spotting for 48 hours. I am almost there! about 12 more hours! Lucky for me, my wonderful husband spent his day off cleaning the whole house and doing all of the laundry. =)
Other than the spotting I have been feeling great. I am starting to become stressed with my job. But I am trying to just do what I am supposed to do and not think too much about the person that is stressing me out. So, hopefully that will make my days a bit easier to handle. At least until I have the baby and can have a little break from the office.
I have been shopping around online and looking at car seats, strollers, etc. I found the ones I want. Boy or girl...they are very unisex and Michael or myself would not mind carrying them. I also found the highchair, and pack and play that I want. Same thing, Unisex because those are things that I plan to keep and use for our next child. And the good thing about those 2 things, they wont be in the nursery so they dont have to match the theme or colors that we use in the babys room.
My mom got me the pregnancy snoogle body pillow. I was having trouble sleeping, tossing and turning all night for about 2 weeks. Since she brought that thing to my house I have slept like a baby!! I definitely reccomend them for ANY of my pregnant friends! Heck, I would say...ANYONE that has a hard time getting comfortable or sleeping....invest in one!! I love mine! *too bad I can not be paid for being a snoogle spokes woman!* =)
1 month from today we will know if we are baking a baby boy or baby girl!! I am sooo ready to shop!! *However, Michaels credit card is not ready..**
Hope all of you are well!

Though he's barely the size of a kumquat — a little over an inch or so long, crown to bottom — and weighs less than a quarter of an ounce, your baby has now completed the most critical portion of his development. This is the beginning of the so-called fetal period, a time when the tissues and organs in his body rapidly grow and mature. He's swallowing fluid and kicking up a storm. Vital organs — including his kidneys, intestines, brain, and liver (now making red blood cells in place of the disappearing yolk sac) — are in place and starting to function, though they'll continue to develop throughout your pregnancy.
If you could take a peek inside your womb, you'd spot minute details, like tiny nails forming on fingers and toes (no more webbing) and peach-fuzz hair beginning to grow on tender skin.
In other developments: Your baby's limbs can bend now. His hands are flexed at the wrist and meet over his heart, and his feet may be long enough to meet in front of his body. The outline of his spine is clearly visible through translucent skin, and spinal nerves are beginning to stretch out from his spinal cord. Your baby's forehead temporarily bulges with his developing brain and sits very high on his head, which measures half the length of his body. From crown to rump, he's about 1 1/4 inches long. In the coming weeks, your baby will again double in size — to nearly 3 inches.
Love
So, we went to the doctor yesterday for our monthly visit and to see why I am spotting. We got our monthly ultrasound and I was expecting it to just kind of be in there hanging out like the last time..a tiny little blob...but as soon as the baby came onto the screen it was wiggling its little legs and waving its arm around. =) I fell in love. Complete, unconditional LOVE. And we could see its perfect little head, arms and legs...a little button nose. And best of all, the heartbeat. It is absolutely breathtaking. The most wonderful feeling in the world.
I can not imagine how my emotions and love for my little baby will grow with each week/month and with each ultrasound. We get our next ultrasound in 5 weeks, April 11th...we will find out if we are having a boy or girl at that visit! =)
The spotting seems to be nothing major. The doctor said that it is most likely where my placenta has attatched to my uterus and little parts of it can sometimes detach and then reattach causing some spotting. They just told me to keep an eye on it and make sure it doesnt get worse and that I dont have any pain with the spotting. So that was a big releif! I can handle it as long as my baby is not in trouble. I will be so so glad to be out of the first trimester so that I can breathe a little bit! =) Only 2 more weeks!
Anyhow, I will write again soon. Will post again later when my 10 week update email comes!

Name part 2
Ok...So my hubby hated Ansley Olivia....So I am still in need of a middle name...I am pretty set on Ansleigh (changed the spelling) as a first name...and I am almost tempted to just go ahead and use my original idea of Grace for the middle name...Ansleigh Grace Ebright...because that is the one name that Michael and I both really loved and have not been able to agree on another middle name...I mean how often will my childs middle name be said out loud around other children with that middle name...and what does it really matter???? So it is still up in the air and we will see how it pans out! Still hoping for a little man so that we can stop with the girl names already! LOL...
I am not having a very good day today....Have been having a little bit of spotting when I pee. But I talked to my mother in law and she said as long as I am not cramping all should be fine. She prescribed couch rest and good books until I see the doctor on monday for my monthly appointment that I already had scheduled. I will keep you all posted about what they say...I will most likely have another ultrasound to make sure little love is alright. I will just feel better when I hear the hearbeat or see him/her so that I know everything is ok. I will be so much happier when I can hold my baby and know that it is ok. I just feel like there is nothing that I can do for it while its in my belly, though I know that everything I do is for my baby....even while its in there =)
I will post again after my doctor visit!

Name
Hello All!
I have been trying to figure out middle names to go with my girls names that I have picked out and finally came up with a name for a girl...I have not discussed this with my hubby yet so we will see what he thinks....The 3 first names that I was deciding between were Olivia, Ansley and Jillian. I have decided on Ansley Olivia Ebright. What do y'all think?
The boys name is still a secret..I will fill you guys in on that when I can =)

9 Weeks!!
How your baby's growing:
Your new resident is nearly an inch long — about the size of a grape — and weighs just a fraction of an ounce. She's starting to look more and more human. Her essential body parts are accounted for, though they'll go through plenty of fine-tuning in the coming months. Other changes abound: Your baby's heart finishes dividing into four chambers, and the valves start to form — as do her tiny teeth. The embryonic "tail" is completely gone. Your baby's organs, muscles, and nerves are kicking into gear. The external sex organs are there but won't be distinguishable as male or female for another few weeks. Her eyes are fully formed, but her eyelids are fused shut and won't open until 27 weeks. She has tiny earlobes, and her mouth, nose, and nostrils are more distinct. The placenta is developed enough now to take over most of the critical job of producing hormones. Now that your baby's basic physiology is in place, she's poised for rapid weight gain.I can't can't can't wait!!!! =) So excited! My little grape! =)
