How your baby's growing:
Your baby's sensory development is exploding! Her brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. Some research suggests that she may be able to hear your voice now, so don't be shy about reading aloud, talking to her, or singing a happy tune if the mood strikes you.Your baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches, head to bottom — about the size of a large heirloom tomato. Her arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of her body now. Her kidneys continue to make urine and the hair on her scalp is sprouting. A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa is forming on her skin to prevent it from pickling in the amniotic fluid.
Yay Eric! A little over half a pound!
I am feeling good! Can't beleive I am almost half way to meeting my little man! He has been such a good little angel! Never made mommy sick! I can't help but wonder if that is because he knows that he is going to be like his daddy and give me a hard time the next 20 years..so he is taking it easy on me while he is baking... Either way, I appreciate his kindness =)
Auntie Kaitlin got to feel him kick at work today. He is telling everyone "Hello! Cant wait to meet you!"
I feel huge.. I can't wait to go to the doctor tomorrow. I hope I get to see him again. I will let all of you know what they say!
Hope everyone is having a good week! I am ready for the weekend! Crib will be delivered on Saturday! I am ready to order the bedding but it is NOT cheap!! So, I will save up for the next couple pay checks so it isnt that big of a blow to the bank account. We also have to go get a mattress. I will do that Friday. I am ready for him to be in his little room so that I can see him whenever I want!!
XOXO
Britt
Can I make a suggestion???
ReplyDeleteHold off on buying any big ticket items (ie: mattress) until AFTER your baby showers. People probably won't buy you a mattress, but put it on your registry anyway. Here's why: once you're closer to your due date, Babies 'R' Us, Target, and Amazon.com (those are the places I was registered) will send you a coupon for you to get 10% off anything else that's left on your registry. Not sure where you're registered...
Plus, baby doesn't need a mattress right away, if he'll be in a bassinet in your room...
Just a way to save a little money :)
