How your baby's growing:
Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana. (For the first 20 weeks, when a baby's legs are curled up against his torso and hard to measure, measurements are taken from the top of his head to his bottom — the "crown to rump" measurement. After 20 weeks, he's measured from head to toe.)He's swallowing more these days, which is good practice for his digestive system. He's also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in his bowels, and you'll see it in his first soiled diaper (some babies pass meconium in the womb or during delivery).
Ahhhhhhh I am so excited to be half way through! I can not wait to meet Eric! My sleeping has not been very good due to back pain. And my heartburn has definitely kicked it up a notch or so. Little man is moving a lot and I love that feeling! My appetite is changing a little, I notice that I am getting hungry between meals. I have not been feeling great the past 2 days but I think it is probably because I am not sleeping well and I am just tired. And this weekend we stayed really busy and I was on my feet a lot and probably did not meet my fluid requirments. So I think just a mixture of everything is making me feel blah. =(
We got the guest room furniture out of the nursery and into the other guest room this weekend and also got the crib put together along with the bassinet and a little shelf thing I got with canvas baskets! Thank you to my husband, Justin and Cameron for all the help! I am so excited that I can walk in and see his crib and think about seeing him in it! I can not wait to get the rest of the furniture!Hopefully will be delivered in the next month or so.
I go to the doctor for an ultrasound to check my cervix on Friday. I am excited to see my little man!
I think that is all for now.
XOXO
