How your baby's growing:
This week your baby weighs a little over 4 pounds (heft a pineapple) and has passed the 17-inch mark. He's rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and his skeleton is hardening. The bones in his skull aren't fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for him to fit through the birth canal. (The pressure on the head during birth is so intense that many babies are born with a conehead-like appearance.) These bones don't entirely fuse until early adulthood, so they can grow as his brain and other tissue expands during infancy and childhood.Hello! Sorry I have not been the greatest little blogger here lately.
I am feeling ok.....I can now say that I am SO ready for Eric to be here. I am not enjoying being so uncomfortable, having braxton hicks, not being hungry, heartburn, SEVERE back pain, and being hott. So, pregnancy, while its been a pleasure....I am ready to see you go away. I want to be skinny and hungry again, and have my little boy in my arms!
Here is a sneak peek at our maternity photos. I will share them as I get them..
So other than the feeling like poo part....At my doc appointment Erics heart sounded great. I had lost a pound, but I am measuring fine. That makes total weight gain 14 pounds thus far..and it feels like every bit of 100 pounds let me just tell you. I told Mike the other day that before baby E #2 comes along I will be in better shape so that the weight doesnt kill me. I guess the lack of squats and physical activity pre pregnancy was not a good idea. My little chicken legs and back just cant hang.
I think that is all for now! I am getting so excited! All of my friends are having their babies and I want mine!!
Love you all!
