How your baby's growing:
Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds (like your average cantaloupe) and is almost 18 inches long. Her fat layers — which will help regulate her body temperature once she's born — are filling her out, making her rounder. Her skin is also smoother than ever. Her central nervous system is maturing and her lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor, you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.I am soooooo excited people!!!!!! I can NOT not not NOT wait to meet my son!!! It is getting so close!!!! Each week I am getting more and more excited. I am also thinking a lot about labor and delivery and things like that which is to be expected. I am anxious and nervous and probably thinking wayyyyy too much about all of it but I cant help it! I have dreams/nightmares every SINGLE night about baby related things....for example getting the bottles too hott and burning his mouth, dropping him, falling asleep and rolling over on top of him etc....I know I am being a tard but I cant help it! LOL.
I have to take a minute and rave about my hubby. He is amazing. I am not working and he has kicked his already crazy work schedule into high gear. He does whatever he has to do to make sure that we are ok and have everything we need. I have not been without a job since I was 15. I am not taking it too well. I feel like I am not pulling my weight and I hate seeing him work so hard all day every day. He truely is amazing and I am blessed to have him. He is going to be such an incredible dad and I can not wait to see him with Eric.
So now all thats left to do is wait on our little boy to arrive. I go to the doctor Thursday and then I start my every week visits. I am anxious to see what doc says =)
I will add a picture later!
Easy way to not get the bottles too hot - breastfeed ;) So much easier than dealing with (and paying for) formula!!! Let me know if you have any questions. Jackson's almost 10 months and hasn't had a single drop of formula yet :)
ReplyDeleteI know you'll labor and birth wonderfully - we are women, and our bodies were MADE to have babies...your body knows what to do, just go with it! Trust yourself, relax, and just think about how you'll be holding your little man at the end, no matter what happens.
Love you tons and hope to see you BEFORE Eric comes!!
